Accused High School Shooter's Father Arrested

The Normal Police Department has arrested the father of the child accused of firing shots into the ceiling at Normal Community High School last month.  Rodney Kinder was arrested Wednesday and is facing charges on two counts of unlawful sale of a firearm.  He allegedly provided and allowed access to the guns used in the high school shooting.  Kinder's being held in the McLean County Jail.  His 14-year old son is being held at a juvenile detention center.  He's been charged with 16 felony charges after he allegedly brought an arsenal of weapons to school on September 7th.  The young man also allegedly held students and a teacher hostage that morning before shooting two rounds into the ceiling.  His attorney has entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
