Week 9 High School Football Preview

It's the final week of the regular season for high school football teams across the state. For some, this is the final opportunity to grab that elusive fifth win, for others, this is a chance to solidify their place in the conference standings, and their place in the playoffs.

>> Maroons Host Sullivan

The Clinton Maroons and Sullivan Redskins are two teams that will be looking in from the outside on Saturday as both squads will miss the playoffs. The Maroons look to build on what has been a continuing improvement. The same could be said of Sullivan. The Maroons enter play with a 1-7 record, and are winless in Okaw Valley Black action. For Sullivan, they look to build on a 2-6 record, and add to their 1-3 Okaw Valley Black record. Game time tonight is 7pm and the action can be heard on The Big 1520 AM/92.3 FM WHOW and live online at dewittdailynews.com.

>>Sages Look To Add To Playoff Resume

The Monticello Sages are coming off a solid 42-8 victory of Shelbyville last Friday and look to build on their 6-2 overall record and bid for a first round home game as they head to Decatur St. Teresa this week. St. T has struggled this season, as they are 2-6. Game time tonight is 7pm and you can all the action on 95.9 FM WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com.

The lone other Okaw Valley Black game for week 9 features Shelbyville playing host to Tolono Unity. Shelbyvill has given themselves a shot at the playoffs with a 5-3 record. Unity looks to build on a 7-1 record.
