Cardinals/Giants Headed To Game 7

(San Francisco, CA)  --  Marco Scutaro's two-run double capped a four-run second inning as the Giants knocked off the Cardinals, 6-1, in Game Six of the NLCS.  Scutaro and Brandon Belt scored twice for San Francisco, which has won two straight to force a decisive Game Seven in the best-of-seven set.  Ryan Vogelsong struck out nine over seven innings of four-hit, one-run ball to earn his second win of the series.  Allen Craig smacked an RBI single in the sixth for St. Louis.  Chris Carpenter allowed five runs, two of which were earned, over four innings to take his second loss in the set.

(San Francisco, CA)  --  The San Francisco Giants host the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals tonight in Game Seven of the National League Championship Series.  The Giants won Game Six Sunday night to force the win-or-go-home contest.  St. Louis held a 3-1 series lead at one point.  Matt Cain will take the mound for the homestanding Giants against the Cardinals' Kyle Lohse.  The winner will host the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday in Game One of the World Series.
