LeRoy Receives #1 Seed In Playoffs, Caps Off 9-0 Regular Season

width=The LeRoy Panthers football team capped off an undefeated regular season with a 34-0 victory over the Tri-Valley Vikings last week. As the Panthers head into Saturday's ball game hosting Brown County, Head Coach BJ Zeleznik says it is nice to see his team playing good football and improving each week.

Part of the success of the Panthers comes from their experience. Coach Zeleznik says he has eleven seniors that can all play, and when firing on all cylinders, his team can be a lot of fun to watch.

Many coaches over the past few years have not been happy with the regional format the IHSA has gone to to determine seedings. Zeleznik believes part of the fun of the playoffs is getting to see new teams and traveling to other areas of the state.

LeRoy will host Brown County at 2pm on Saturday afternoon. The winner of their match up awaits the Flannagan-Cornell/Ridgeview matchup. That is an 8/9 matchup.
