Argenta-Oreana Enters Playoffs with 6-3 record

The Argenta-Oreana Bombers may have been the Okaw Valley's biggest surprise after the first third of the season. The Bombers entered week four against the Unity Rockets 3-0. After a tough loss to Unity, the Bombers would drop their next two, before needing to win their final three games to secure an at-large bid into the playoffs. Bomber Head Coach Chad Eisenmenger (Izz-en-mEn-ger) says this was an up and down year for his team.

Coach Eisenmenger says the community has really gotten behind the team this year and they are excited to see the school back in the playoffs. He says the team got together to watch the unveiling of the brackets and then had a parade around town.

One thing Coach Eisenmenger likes about their draw is they are the only Okaw Valley school in Class 2A. He says that is going to make the playoffs a lot more fun for them. He adds the Okaw should prepare his team well for what is ahead. Argenta-Oreana's opponent is an undefeated Camp Point Central team, and the coach keeps preaching to his players, records are meaningless right now.

Argenta will make the trip to Camp Point for the 2 pm game Saturday afternoon. The winner of this game will take on the winner of 9-0 Cerro Gordo and 7-2 Lawrenceville.
