Giants Blank Tigers In Game Two

Madison Bumgarner fired seven shutout innings as the Giants blanked the Tigers, 2-0, in Game Two of the World Series.  Bumgarner scattered two hits and two walks while striking out eight to earn the win.  Sergio Romo closed things out to earn the save.  Hunter Pence scored the game's first run on a double play in the seventh.  Pence also plated a run on a sac-fly in the eighth for San Francisco, which holds a two-games-to-none lead in the best-of-seven series.  Doug Fister allowed a run in six-plus innings to take the tough-luck loss.  The Tigers will host Game Three Saturday night.
