NBA Season Kicks Off With Fireworks, New Looks

LeBron James and the Miami Heat started their title defense with a 120-107 win over the Boston Celtics Tuesday night to kick off the NBA's regular season.  Dwyane Wade had 29 points while James collected 26 with 10 rebounds for the Heat.  Ray Allen scored 19 points off the bench for Miami against his old Celtic teammates.  In Los Angeles, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the new-look Lakers, 99-91.  Darren Collison led the way with 17 points for the Mavs, while Dwight Howard posted 19 points and 10 rebounds in his debut with LA.

In Cleveland, the Cavaliers opened their season with a 94-84 win over the Washington Wizards.  Last year's Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving led the way with 29 points, while Anderson Varejao hauled in 23 rebounds for the hosts.  The NBA season rolls on Wednesday night with nine more games.
