Cabrera, Posey Named MVPs

>>Giants' Posey Wins NL MVP Award

(New York, NY) -- San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey is the National League's Most Valuable Player. Posey led the majors with a .336 average to go with 24 home runs and 103 RBI as the Giants captured the NL West Division. Other NL finalists were outfielder and 2011 winner Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen, San Diego Padres third baseman Chase Headley and St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.

(New York, NY) -- Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera is the American League's Most Valuable Player. Cabrera captured baseball's first Triple Crown since 1967 by leading the AL with a .330 average, 44 home runs and 139 RBI as Detroit won the AL Central Division. Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout finished second. Other finalists were outfielder Josh Hamilton and third baseman Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano.
