>>Urlacher Says Again He'd Lie About Concussion

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher still says he would lie to cover up a concussion.

With quarterback Jay Cutler recovering from a concussion, the Bears' defensive star wasn't backing off comments he made to HBO earlier this year.

He responded "yeah" when asked if he would try to cover up such an injury. He said he's not sure "how you can lie these days with all the (stuff) they have to see who's concussed and not."

He also said the NFL needs to do a better job protecting players' knees.

Head injuries and the long-term effects has been a hot-button issue in sports, particularly in the NFL, and it's been a big topic in Chicago this week. It's not clear if Cutler will play Monday against San Francisco.

>>Cutler Remains Sidelined With Concussion

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler missed practice on Thursday and his playing status remains in question because of a concussion.

Coach Lovie Smith says Cutler continues to improve, but it's not clear if he'll be ready to play at San Francisco on Monday night.

If Cutler can't play, Jason Campbell will likely make the start.

The Bears believe Cutler was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Houston's Tim Dobbins late in the second quarter of Sunday's loss. He finished the half, but missed the second half after showing symptoms in the locker room.

Cutler needs to be cleared by team physicians and independent neurological consultants before he can return.

The same goes for teammate Shea McClellin and 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, who also suffered concussions last week.

>>Packers' Matthews Won't Play Sunday

(Green Bay, WI) -- Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is being ruled out for Sunday's game in Detroit due to a hamstring injury. Matthews was hurt in the third quarter of Green Bay's 31-17 win over Arizona in Week Nine. Wide receiver Greg Jennings is expected to remain sidelined as he continues to recover from groin surgery, while cornerback Charles Woodson will miss his third straight game with a fractured collarbone. Meanwhile, wide receiver Jordy Nelson appears on track to return from an ankle sprain that knocked him out of the team's November 4th win over the Cardinals.

>>Bears Face 49ers On "Monday Night Football"

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bears are gearing up for their huge "Monday Night Football" showdown with the 49ers in San Francisco. Chicago fell to 7-and-2 on the season following last week's 13-6 home loss to Houston. The Bears are just a half-game ahead of San Francisco for second place in the NFC.

>>Packers Look To Continue Dominance Over Lions

(Detroit, MI) -- NFC North rivals meet in Motown Sunday as the Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. The Packers are coming off their bye week and are riding a four-game winning streak that has them at 6-and-3. This is the first of two straight road games for Green Bay, which has won 12 of the last 13 meetings against Detroit. The Lions are looking to get back to .500 again after dropping a 34-24 decision last Sunday at Minnesota. This is the first of three straight home games for Detroit, but they come against the Packers, Texans and Colts, who are a combined 20-and-7 thus far.

>>Jets, Rams Seek Elusive Fourth Win

(St. Louis, MO) -- A pair of three-win teams face off Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome as the New York Jets visit the St. Louis Rams. It's the second straight NFC West road game for Gang Green, which lost 28-7 at Seattle last Sunday. The Jets have dropped three straight and five of their last six games overall to slip to 3-and-6 on the season. The Rams are coming off a 24-24 tie at San Francisco this past weekend that has them at 3-5-and-1. St. Louis hasn't won since Week Five at home against the Cardinals. The Rams are 3-and-1 at the Dome this season, with their lone loss to the Packers.

>>Luck, Colts Play Brady, Pats

(Foxboro, MA) -- The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots meet this Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Both teams are 6-and-3 and in the thick of the AFC playoff race. Led by rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, the Colts have won four in-a-row and five of their last six games. Indy is 4-and-1 at home and 2-and-2 on the road. Veteran QB Tom Brady has New England leading the AFC East. The Pats have also won five-of-six, including three straight. Including the playoffs, this is the 13th meeting between the teams since Brady made his first NFL start against the Colts in 2001.

>>Bills Best Dolphins On "TNF"

(Orchard Park, NY) -- Leodis McKelvin returned a punt 79 yards to give the Bills an early 7-0 as they held off the Dolphins, 19-14. Rian Lindell hit four field goals for Buffalo, which is now 4-and-6 on the season. C.J. Spiller rushed for 91 yards and caught three balls for 39 yards in the win. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 168 yards for the Bills. Ryan Tannehill tossed for 141 yards, a score and a pair of interceptions for Miami, which dropped to 4-and-6.
