UPDATED: Clinton Alum Enjoys Success College Football Career

A Clinton High School alum recently concluded his collegiate football career that helped turn around a local program.

Colin Duling graduated from Clinton High School as a three sport standout athlete, and chose to pursue football after high school, when he attended Illinois College in Jacksonville. Duling says the big sell for him to attend Illinois College as a receiver and to be a part of turning the program around, which they were able to do.

In being a part of turning the football program at IC around was being a part of one of the nation's best offenses for Div. III football. Duling explains his Jr. and Sr. years their high powered offense allowed him to be successful.

Duling says he cannot see his future without football, so he plans on going into coaching.

Duling was part of the winningest class in Illinois College Football history with 27 victories over four seasons. That included a 9-1 regular season mark and birth in the Division III playoffs in 2011 and 8-2 record this season.

Individually, the 6-3 195 lb. Senior had a total of 97 receptions for 1,502 yards and 13 touchdowns during his four year career.

Duling is the son of Larry and Susan Duling of Clinton and is majoring in Political Science and International Studies. He will graduate in May of 2013.
