Second Teller Gets Probation In Bank Theft

The second of 2 former tellers who admitted stealing thousands of dollars from their bank has been sentenced to probation and ordered to repay the stolen money.

 29-year-old Jamie Gajewski pleaded guilty Tuesday in Madison County to a felony theft count and was sentenced to three years of probation.

She also must repay the nearly $90,000 authorities say she stole from First National Bank of Staunton between January 2011 and January 2012.

Another ex-teller, 51-year-old Lori Surgant, pleaded guilty in July to a theft charge. She's been sentenced to probation and ordered to repay more than $7,000.
