DeWitt County Museum's Holiday Season Is In Full Swing

The Holiday Season is now in full swing and the festivities at the DeWitt County Museum are under way.

The Candlelight Tour Season at the CH Moore Homestead begins tomorrow. This popular event draws many people to the Homestead each year. According to the resident manager at the Homestead, Larry Buss, these tours are their second most popular event right after the Apple & Pork Festival. He says that visitors can come out and get their Christmas shopping done with many seasonal items in the gift shop and take one of the tours. All of the rooms at the homestead are decorated to coincide with a specific theme.

Buss says that the majority of the rooms are decorated by ladies from the Museum's board but other volunteers participate as well. He adds that while the house is impressive during the daytime, it is even more impressive at night during the Christmas season. There will also be some great entertainment planned for this year as well.
