Shoppers Reminded To Remember Personal Safety During Holiday Season

 width=The holiday season is one of the busiest times of year, it's also a time of year when people should be aware of their own safety.

Black Friday is not only a busy day for shoppers, but for thieves as well. Clinton Police Chief Mike Reidy says there are many ways shoppers can prevent themselves from being victims. One place Chief Reidy says to be especially careful are ATM Machines. He says that there have been some cases where fake ATMs can take advantage of holiday shoppers.

Chief Reidy says it's important to go out during daylight hours as much as possible. He also says while malls and stores hire extra security this time of year, it's always important to be prepared with items such as your vehicles and personal belongings. He gives several tips to think about this holiday season.

Chief Reidy also gives tips about serving those large holiday family meals. He says it's important to not have flammable material around the stove and to be very careful around hot liquids and cooking tools.
