Cubs Re-Sign Stewart

The Chicago Cubs have re-signed infielder Ian Stewart.  The 27-year-old was limited to 55 games last season due to wrist surgery in July.  He batted just .201 with five home runs and 17 RBI.  Stewart was originally acquired by the Cubs from the Colorado Rockies as part of a four-player trade in December 2011.  To make room on the roster, Chicago designated pitcher Jeff Beliveau for assignment.
