Clinton Junior High School recently named their Assistant Principal.

With current Assistant Principal, Drew Goebel to take the reigns as Principal next year, the district named Justin Deters, currently teaching social studies, as their Assistant Principal next year. Deters says he's looking forward to taking the position and feels his knowledge and strength in the area of technology can be an asset going forward at the school.

Sliding into the role of Assistant Principal, Deters will take over the role of disciplinarian at the school. This is Deters first administrative role in his teaching career, but he feels he's run a very good classroom in his time teaching and explains his philosophy will be to catch kids doing the right things, and rewarding them for it.

Deters says seeing students doing the right thing and recognizing them for that makes kids know it is appreciated.

Current Jr. High Principal John Pine is retiring at the end of the school year this year, opening his position for Goebel to step in.
