>>Cubs Reportedly Agree To Four-Year Deal With Jackson

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Cubs are adding Edwin Jackson to their starting rotation. According to FoxSports.com, the Cubs have agreed to a four-year, 52-million-dollar contract with the 29-year-old right-hander. The deal is pending a physical. Jackson was 10-and-11 with a 4.03 ERA in 31 starts last season for the Washington Nationals. He is 70-and-71 with a 4.40 ERA in 10 seasons overall.

(Arlington, TX) -- The Texas Rangers have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent catcher A.J. Pierzynski [[ peer-ZIN-skee ]]. According to MLB.com, the 35-year-old must still pass a physical before the deal becomes official. Pierzynski hit .278 with a career-high 27 home runs and 77 RBI last season with the Chicago White Sox. He spent the last eight seasons with the Pale Hose. Pierzynski is a lifetime .284 hitter with 155 homers and 730 RBI in 15 seasons with the Twins, Giants and White Sox.

>>Brewers Agree To Two-Year Deal With Gorzelanny

(Milwaukee, WI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a two-year contract with pitcher Tom Gorzelanny. The "Milwaukee Journal Sentinel" reports the deal is pending a physical but is expected to become official today. The 30-year-old left-hander was 4-and-2 with a 2.88 ERA last season with the Washington Nationals. Gorzelanny is 44-and-45 with a 4.41 ERA in eight seasons overall.
