The University of Illinois Extension Offices have a new addition to the staff.
 
Caitlin Huth is the new nutrition and wellness educator at U of I Extension. Being from Champaign, she is familiar with the Central Illinois area and hopes to reach out to the local communities through several nutrition and wellness programs. One of the programs she hopes to get started soon is "Eye on Diabetes".

Huth also plans to jumpstart programs that can assist people with heart health and food safety. She plans to reach out to as many towns throughout the community as she can. She also wants to reach out to community groups.

Many of the programs Huth wants to start have already been established state-wide. She's hoping to continue them and make them as effective as possible. Many of these programs are geared toward young and older adults, so Huth would like to create some new programs for children.
