The Monticello Sages defeated Neoga by a score of 59-51 early Wednesday afternoon. The Sages were led by Jr Nick Stokowski with 20 points and 11 rebounds, who was also the First State Bank Player of the game. Matt Kruse and Bryann Phipps also both added 12 points.

Neoga was led by Jake Baker with 29 points.

The Monticello Sages defeated the Sangamon Valley Storm by a final score of 54-40 later in the evening. The Sages were led by Nick Stokowski with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Matt Kruse also chipped in with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Your First State Bank player of the game was Nick Stokowski. With the win the Sages improve to 8-1, and 2-0 in the Hoopla.

Tune in this afternoon as the Sages take on GCMS at 3:30 in the Holiday Hoopla Tournament. With a win, the Sages can get to the Championship game of the tournament for the first time in three years.
