Jacob Ziegler, 20, Kenney, was arrested and charged with consumption of liquor/ minor. Ziegler posted the necessary bond and was released.
Tayler Beck, 19, Clinton, was arrested and charged with consumption of liquor/ minor. Beck posted the necessary bond and was released.
Investigation into the scene of a accident which occurred at 1:35 pm on 12-31-12 revealed Gail Helton, 56, Weldon, was traveling east on State Highway 10 near Lilac Road when she lost control of her vehicle and slid off the roadway into the ditch. There was minor damage to the front driver side of Heltons vehicle along with tire coming off of rim. Helton had no visible signs of injuries and reported none at the scene. No citation was issued. Heltons vehicle was towed per her request.
Rusty Garriott, 31, Lincoln, was issued a citation for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Garriott posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.
Luiza Phares, 21, Wapella, was issued a citation for speeding 67 mph in a 45 mph zone. Phares posted her IL Drivers License as bond and was released.
Shayne Welch, 20, Waynesville, was issued citations for failure to reduce speed/ accident, operating uninsured vehicle, failure to surrender registration to sos upon transfer ownership and no valid registration. Welch posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.
Matthew Smith, 25, Champaign, was issued a citation for operating uninsured vehicle. Smith posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.
