Warner Public Library Now Requiring Library Cards

Those who frequent the Warner Public Library will soon be required to have their library cards on their person when checking out materials.

This change comes about as the Library will be merging their system with a system that covers virtually the southern half of the state. Librarian at the Warner Library, Bobbi Perryman says keeping tabs on individuals through the new system is going to be much harder, which is why having a library card will is mandatory.

Librarians at the Library are very excited about the change. Perryman explains the new system will have a mobile site for those who would like to access the library from their phones or tablets. It will also allow the library more access to materials patrons may want that they do not have.

For the month of January, those who have misplaced their library cards can get it replaced for free. Perryman says they just need a photo identification and something with your address on it, a piece of mail or something like that will suffice.
