Richland Breaks Groud for Clinton Campus Site

This (Friday) morning, Richland Community College broke ground on the site they will call home in DeWitt County.

Richland leaders, Clinton and DeWitt County leaders, and also politicians were on hand for the ceremony. Clinton Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Holmes was on hand for the celebration, and he says the new site for Richland Community College will not only open classroom space in the high school, which is where Richland currently conducts limited classes in DeWitt County, but it will provide greater opportunities for the districts students.

Dr. Holmes likes the campus like atmosphere Richland will add to the three schools that will eventually be in the one area of Clinton. Dr. Holmes feels Richland will fit right in and hopes to create a mindset of Richland being the next step in the educational steps of their students.

The new Richland site will be a 4-thousand square foot facility northwest of the current Jr. High School and due north the high school.
