Peoria Man Sentenced In Robbery of Gambler

An Illinois man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for robbing a gambler he followed halfway across the state after seeing him win $23,000 in an East Peoria casino.

Marvino Mister of Peoria was sentenced Friday in Champaign County Circuit Court in Urbana after he was convicted in December of the April 12 armed robbery.

Mister and another man watched then-University of Illinois student Sean Harrigan for several hours as he won at a craps table at the Par-A-Dice casino. The two then followed Harrigan and 2 of his friends back to Champaign where Mister robbed Harrigan of $2,500 at gunpoint.

Another Peoria man, 28-year-old John Williamson, is charged with armed robbery in the crime. He has pleaded not guilty.
