Barn Quilts of Dewitt County in need of Volunteers for 2013

The upcoming DeWitt County Barn Quilt Tours for 2013 are in need of volunteers.

There are two Barn Quilt tours a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Carolyn Sugg, Tourism Director for the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce says they could always use extra hands. Each year the Barn Quilt program grows ,which means more work is needed to pull the event off. Sugg says there are 5 different areas that could use assistance.

According to Sugg, there are several jobs that can accommodate someone with only an hour or two to spare during a given month. Sugg says they are always excited to welcome new people to the Barn Quilt Tours. Their main team consists of 10 people, but over 50 usually end up helping in some form or another.

Sugg says each volunteer is very much appreciated and it is their efforts that make the event each year a success.
