Blues, 'Hawks Win

(Chicago, IL) -- Nick Leddy lit the lamp in overtime to send the Blackhawks to a 2-1 win over the visiting Red Wings. Chicago is off to its best start in franchise history at 6-and-0. Duncan Keith scored on the power play less than three minutes into the game while Corey Crawford made 29 saves for the victory. Johan Franzen scored the lone goal for the Wings, who dropped to 2-2-and-1. Jimmy Howard made 25 saves in the setback.

(St. Louis, MO) -- Vladimir Sobotka's overtime tally lifted the Blues past the Wild, 5-4, in St. Louis. Wade Redden, Patrik Berglund, Chris Stewart and Barret Jackman all lit the lamp as well for St. Louis, which improved to 5-and-1. Brian Elliott made 12 saves for the victory. Zach Parise [[ puh-REE-see ]] scored a pair of power play goals for Minnesota and assisted on another. Mikko Koivu and Dany Heatley also found the back of the net while Niklas Backstrom made 29 saves in the loss. The Wild fell to 2-2-and-1 with the loss.
