>>Rangers Nix Deal With Arnott

(New York, NY) -- The New York Rangers are backing out of a contract agreement with Jason Arnott due to concerns about his health. The two sides agreed to a one-year, 1.6-million-dollar contract on Saturday pending a physical, but the "Daily News" reports the team will not proceed after reviewing the 38-year-old's medical records. The 18-year veteran had 17 goals and 17 assists in 72 games with the St. Louis Blues last season, but had arthroscopic knee surgery during the offseason.
