(Chicago, IL) -- Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher says he's willing to take a hometown discount to stay with Chicago. The 13-year veteran is poised to reach free agency for the first time in his career. Urlacher's coming off a disappointing season hampered by knee and hamstring injuries.

(St. Louis, MO) -- Rob Ryan won't be the new defensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams after all. The team announced it has decided the former Dallas Cowboys coordinator is not a good fit after a second visit with the coaching staff this week. ESPN reported last week that the Rams would hire Ryan, whose defense in Dallas ranked 19th overall this past season. After being fired by the Cowboys January 8th, Ryan said that he would "be out of work for like five minutes." St. Louis went without a traditional DC this past season after Gregg Williams was suspended for his role in the Saints' bounty scandal.

(Undated) -- The Minnesota Vikings are interested in longtime Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, according to Fox 11 Sports in Green Bay. Driver, who is an impending free agent, has spent his entire 14-year career in Green Bay. "USA Today" reported last week that Driver was leaning toward retirement. The soon-to-be 38-year-old has 743 career catches for more than 10-thousand yards and 61 touchdowns. He had just eight grabs for 77 yards and two TD's in 13 games in 2012.

(Hayward, CA) -- Two San Francisco 49ers fans from Hayward, California that wired nearly six-thousand-dollars for Super Bowl tickets, realize now they're victims of a scam. After purchasing a pair of tickets on Craigslist, the couple opened their Fed Ex delivery yesterday, only to find a note with the words "Enjoy the game!!!! Goo Ravens!!! LOL." The scammed woman says the seller claimed to be a Baltimore Ravens season ticket holder and she was even communicating with him over the phone, through text messages, and emails. Despite the hoax, the dedicated Niners fan and her boyfriend still plan to head to New Orleans to watch the game from a sports bar.
