State Treasurer Imploring Central Illinois To Inquire On Unclaimed Property

The State of Illinois' Treaurer is encouraging residents to check into the unclaimed items in their I-Cash program..

Treasurer Dan Rutherford explains the program focuses on unclaimed property that is now being held at the Treasurer's office. Certain property may belong to individuals either living or dead. There are several ways items come into his possession.

The State Of Illinois' Treasurer's website has received claims from over 51-hundred people. That adds up to $990-thousand. Rutherford advises people to go their website and look up their name as well as close relatives who have passed away. He would like to return as much property back to the citizens of Illinois as possible.

For anyone interested in discovering if they have unclaimed property, you can go to the Treasurer's website, www.treasurer.il.gov and click the I-CASH tab.
