St. Louis Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter won't be pitching this season.  General Manager John Mozeliak [[ mo-ZAY-lack ]] says the right-hander doesn't think he should be throwing this year due to his shoulder.  Carpenter has been dealing with soreness and discomfort in his neck, shoulder and arm for some time.  He made only six starts last season, including the playoffs.  Mozeliak is hoping Carpenter will still make himself available to the team's younger pitchers for advice.
