DeWitt County's Lincoln Heritage Committee Hosting Special Event

The Lincoln Heritage Committee is teaming up with the DeWitt County Museum to host a special event Tuesday evening at the Warner Library.

Tuesday marks the birthday of former President Abraham Lincoln and Chair of the Lincoln Heritage Committee, Joey Woolridge explains the event is going to coincide with the celebration. She adds the program is going to feature the portrayal of CH Moore and his recollections of Abraham Lincoln.

Larry Buss will be portraying CH Moore, and Buss explains while this is nothing new for him, they are always learning more about CH Moore. Buss is the resident manager of the CH Moore Homestead, Moore's residence in DeWitt County.

Part of the portrayal of CH Moore will be recollecting on his relationship with Abraham Lincoln. Buss explains there area many resources they use to gather information on the relationship between the former President and CH Moore.

The Lincoln Heritage Committee of DeWitt County is hosting the program titled "C.H. Moore Remembers Abraham Lincoln" Tuesday, February 12 at 6:30pm at the Warner Public Library's Museum Room. The program is free and open to the public.
