The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is calling on it's young people in the business community to step up and be a part of a network of young business leaders.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the "Young Professionals Network" which aims to socially connect young people in their 20s and 30s to be a part of this network. Executive Director of the Lincoln Chamber, Andi Hake explains it appears their goal is to provide opportunities for professional development and service opportunities.

With the network being relatively young, Hake explains they are still planning out their year of activities. They've already held a few things geared towards socialization and recruiting, and they also have a special event next Tuesday.

The network is all but 3 1/2 months old, but Hake says, there has already been a terrific response from the young people in Logan County. Hake explains their liaison for the network is fresh out of college, and Hake feels she is the perfect person to lead the group.

Not only are the young people of the County responding well to it, but there is certainly a desire from other business leaders to see this network succeed. Hake explains, the first few events that were put on have been sponsored, and Hake feels the response to sponsor the events this group puts on shows them the desire the community has to keep this group and it's members close.
