DeWitt County Board Puts Off Decision On Electric Aggregation Again

width=The DeWitt County Board continues to put off a decision on the firm they are going to hire to aid them in the electric aggregation process.

Thursday night, the County Board discussed moving forward with one of two firms, Integrys Energy or Good Energy. Board member George Wissmiller felt it may be a little premature to be discussing what firm they will hire, before the voters have even have made a decision. In January the board made the decision, as by law, to send the decision to referendum. The voters will vote on the electric aggregation process April 9.

Representatives were on hand from both firms, who waited almost two hours for a discussion to be taken up. Motions were made to hire both firms and neither had a majority vote.

Both firms were present last week in hopes of seeing action taken as well.

The City of Clinton entered into a contract agreement with Good Energy just last week.
