>>West Wins Third Straight Over East

(Houston, TX) -- Chris Paul posted 20 points, 15 assists and four steals to lead the Western Conference over the Eastern Conference 143-138 at the NBA All-Star Game in Houston. Paul was named the game's MVP. Kevin Durant scored 30 points with six rebounds for the West, which has won three straight over the East. Blake Griffin added 19 points for the winning side. Carmelo Anthony tallied 26 points and 12 boards for the East. Dwyane Wade added 21 points and seven assists in defeat. LeBron James totalled 19 points and five assists in the loss.

(Houston, TX) -- Terrence Ross and Kyrie Irving were the big winners at the NBA's All-Star Saturday Night competitions. Ross outshined defending champion Jeremy Evans of the Jazz to win the Slam Dunk Contest. The Toronto Raptors rookie performed a between-the-legs, jump over the ball boy dunk for his final showing of the night to seal the win. Irving defeated Spurs forward Matt Bonner to win the Three-Point Competition. The Cavaliers guard scored 23 points in the final round to best Bonner's total of 20. Earlier in the night, Trail Blazers rookie guard Damian Lillard captured the Skills Challenge. He beat out 76ers guard Jrue Holiday with a time of 29.8 seconds. In the Shooting Stars competition, the West had the fasted time in the team round while the East captured the championship round. Team Bosh, led by Heat forward Chris Bosh, won the title. Overall, the West won the night, beating the Eastern Conference in overall points, 140-125.

(Houston, TX) -- Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried [[ fuh-reed ]] posted 40 points and 10 rebounds to help Team Chuck defeat Team Shaq 163-135 and win the NBA Rising Stars MVP Award on Friday. Cleveland forward Tristan Thompson added 20 points and 10 boards, while Kings guard Isaiah Thomas chipped in with 18 points and 10 assists in the win. Last year's MVP Kyrie Irving of the Cavaliers scored 32 points with six assists and six caroms for Team Shaq. Fellow Cav Dion Waiters tallied 23 points in the loss. Both teams shot over 60-percent from the floor, while Team Chuck made 17-of-32 three-point shots.

>>New York A Favorite To Host 2015 NBA All-Star Game

(Undated) -- It looks like the 2015 NBA-All Star Game will be held in the Big Apple. The only question that remains, is whether the contest will take place at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan or the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. NBA Commissioner David Stern confirmed to ESPN on Saturday that the Knicks and Nets have both applied to host the game. He added that Adam Silver, who is set to take over for Stern next year, will have a great time looking at each application. New York last hosted the All-Star Game in 1998. The 2014 game will be held in New Orleans.
