>>Lakers To Honor Buss Before Tonight's Game

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Los Angeles Lakers will honor late owner Jerry Buss tonight. The team will hold a moment of silence before its home game against the Boston Celtics. It's the Lakers' first game since Buss passed away Monday at the age of 80 after a long battle with cancer. The Lakers plan to wear a purple and gold "JB" patch on their jerseys for the rest of the season. Teams around the league held a moment of silence for Buss last night as the NBA resumed play following the All-Star break. There will be a private memorial Thursday at the Nokia Theater. Buss has owned the Lakers since 1979, winning ten championships.
