Bulls Begin Homestand Tonight Against Cavs; Gibson Out

The Bulls begin a three-game homestand tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center. Chicago has alternated wins and losses over its last five games following Sunday's 102-72 setback at Oklahoma City. The Bulls sit at 32-and-24 on the season. The Cavs are 18-and-38.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Bulls will be without one of their defensive anchors for the immediate future. According to the "Chicago Tribune," Taj Gibson will miss a couple of weeks with a sprained knee. He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Bulls loss Sunday night against the Thunder. Gibson averages about 22 minutes a night with around eight points, five rebounds and one block. He is a big part of Chicago's top-five ranked defense.

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Derek Fisher is back with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 38-year-old guard has signed a deal for the remainder of the season. Fisher signed with OKC late last season and helped the Thunder to the NBA Finals. He played nine games with the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season before suffering a knee injury and asking for his release. Fisher was traded from the L.A. Lakers to the Houston Rockets last March before negotiating a buyout and joining the Thunder.
