Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 9:50 pm on 3/5/13 revealed that Joshua Mcquaid, 18, Farmer City, was traveling westbound on State Route 54 west of Birbeck Road when his vehicle skidded on the snow covered roadway into the south side ditch. Upon entering the ditch Mcquaid hit a guard rail end. As a result of the impact the vehicle sustained major damage to its passenger side. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch where it was ultimately driven from the scene. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 9:32 pm on 3/5/13 revealed that Kathryn Sherman, 20, Clinton, was traveling northbound on US Highway 51 just south of County Highway 11 when she lost control on the icy roadway. Sherman traveled into the snow covered median colliding with the ditch embankment. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front bumper and possibly sustained damage to the undercarriage. Sherman was not injured as a result of the collision with the embankment. The vehicle was towed from the ditch, it was driven away from the scene.

ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
