Blood donations are drastically down across the state. Ben Corey, with the American Red Cross, says the organization needs at least 80-thousand donations in order to shore-up their supply.
One pint of blood can save up to three lives, so the shortage means more than 240-thousand-people could go without the blood they need. The Red Cross has issued an urgent alert for people to donate. Check out RedCrossBlood.org [[ Red-Cross-Blood-dot-org ]] to find a blood drive near you.
