Officials say drugs played a role in the death of a LaSalle teenager who crashed a car into a sand pit at U.S. Silica. They say 17-year-old Zachary Behrens had LSD and marijuana in his system. Authorities say he took a woman's car without her permission back on June 16th and zoomed down West Main Street in Ottawa. The car went through a fence, over a berm, and plunged at least 70-feet before landing in water at the bottom of the pit. Zachary's family says they're devastated by the whole ordeal. They say he was a wonderful, intelligent, loving young man who was an honor roll student looking ahead to a bright future.
