UPDATED: Clinton Crime Stoppers Investigating Stolen Camera Equipment

The Clinton Police Department is seeking your help and information in solving a theft that occurred.

On July 29th at approximately 2:00 pm Clinton Police officers were flagged down while on patrol in the 200 block of E. Washington St.

At this time, officers learned that a professional photographer was conducting a photo shoot and upon finishing, inadvertently left a very valuable camera lenz sitting on the sidewalk.

This property is described as a Canon 24 X 70 lenz. The lenz is approximately 8 inches in length and black in color with a red ring around it.

The Clinton Police Department is asking for your help in solving this crime of opportunity and theft of mislaid property.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspects responsible for this crime or any other crimes are asked to contact the Clinton Area Crime stoppers at 217-935-3333.

Remember; Crime Stoppers want your name, just your information.
