Investigation into the scene of an accident that occurred on 7/30/14 at 4:10 P.M revealed that Joseph Eilers, 31, Decatur was backing from a parking space near the north side of the store at Casey’s General Store in Wapella. Eilers states another car was entering the parking lot, so he continued to back up further, to make room for the other vehicle. An employee’s vehicle was parked at the north end of the parking lot, north of the gas pumps, unoccupied. As Eilers continued to back up, the rear end of his vehicle ran into the rear driver’s side of the employees vehicle. The crash caused damage to the rear driver’s side bumper, quarter panel, and tail light of Eilers vehicle. The employees vehicle sustained damage to the rear driver’s side bumper and quarter panel. There were no injuries reported or observed. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT O LAW.
