Code Red is a mass notification system that assists in times of emergency, much like the natural gas leak Monday. CENCOM Director Tony Harris explains the system helps to get information out to large groups of people in the event of emergencies or weather events.
The Code Red system can be a very precise informational tool for the public. Harris explains the information you provide will only alert you when an emergency that affects resident's.
