UPDATED: Fugitive Sought In Aggravated Battery, Armed Robbery Case Arrested

The fugitive the Clinton Police Department was seeking the public's help in capturing has turned himself in.

Regional Radio News has learned Dennis L. Eveland III has turned himself in. According to Clinton Police Chief Ben Lowers, at approximately 2:10 pm Wednesday afternoon, Eveland turned himself in to the DeWitt County Jail and is in their custody.

The Clinton PD issued a statement Wednesday morning seeking information in locating Eveland. Eveland is wanted in Dewitt County on multiple arrest warrants on charges of armed robbery, and aggravated battery.

Authories believed Eveland to possibly be armed and considered him dangerous.
