Lincoln Heritage Museum Looking Forward to Future

One local museum is looking toward the future in order to keep visitors coming.

The Lincoln Heritage Museum ,on the campus of Lincoln College in Lincoln, opened their new facility back in April. The new location helped the Museum exceed their average yearly attendance in three months. Museum Director Ron Keller says they can't rest on the laurels of their successful opening. He adds many events have been planned for the fall including living history workshops and book signings.

Keller explains the Museum is currently looking at possibilities for traveling exhibits in the future. Yet, he stresses a special exhibit coming next year to Lincoln. 2015 will mark the 150th anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Keller says the exhibit will not be morbid, but respectful of an event that affected the entire country.
