Wes Lunt tossed for 285 yards and four touchdowns as Illinois topped Youngstown State 28-17 to begin the year on Saturday in Champaign. Mike Dudek had three catches for 61 yards and a score, while Martize Barr, Josh Ferguson and Jon Davis also had TD catches. The Illini host Western Kentucky this Saturday.
