Bloomington Shuttle Bus Driver Charged With DUI

A 32-year-old Bloomington man who drives a late-night shuttle bus has been charged with aggravated drunken driving.

Authorities say Stephen Mckenna of Bob's Blue Night Limo failed standard field sobriety tests that indicated his blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit for driving. Reports indicate, Mckenna was driving a bus used primarily by downtown bar patrons early Sunday morning when Bloomington police were flagged down.

Court documents filed Sunday say officers saw several people chasing after and banging on the sides of the bus. They say the doors were open and people were standing on the entry stairway as the bus moved.

Police say the vehicle struck a utility pole wire as they approached it.
