Biggest Lincoln Event To Expand In 2015

width=The 2014 Lincoln Art and Balloon has concluded, yet exciting plans for the future are already in progress.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau recently announced the festival will expand in 2015. Several individual events will soon have their own weekends dedicated to them. Lincoln Mayor Keith Snyder notes the yearly festival tends to pack quite a bit into one weekend. He explains the expansion should allow more opportunities for visitors to come to Lincoln.

Snyder explains events such as the Up In Smoke Barbeque will have their own event next year. The Art Show will also be rebooted along with the Art of Wine tent. The Mayor says all of the events are successful but need the opportunity to expand. Another reason for the expansion is to allow for more local volunteer assistance.

Snyder says changing times has allowed the Art Fair to expand and grow over the years. Thousands of people are able to view artists' creations due to the online experience. The local 1800s Craft Fair will also join forces with the Lincoln Railsplitter Festival in the fall of 2015.

The Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival will become the Lincoln Balloon Festival and take place August 28th and 29th of 2015.

Up In Smoke Barbecue will move to June 5th-7th along with the Craft Fair, Flea Markets and Auto Shows.

The Fine Art Fair, which includes the Art of Wine and Beer, will take place the weekend of July 18th and 19th.
