Thursday night's match between the Clinton Lady Maroons and the Heyworth Hornets saw the Lady Maroons take their first loss of the season just two days after their first win.
The Lady Maroons lost the first game by just 2 points going 23-25. The second game they turned the tide winning 25-21. They then lost a disappointing game going 15-25.
Hannah Ritter and Michaela Elliot each contributed two aces apiece. Elliot also added 14 assists. Taylor Filkin had eight kills with Payton Bieber putting up six blocks while Haley Ginger had nine digs.
Coach Megan Mitchell, when asked about how she felt about the match, said the first two games were tough games but that 'it still stinks to lose'.
