Democrats are taking another jab at Bruce Rauner's wealth. Governor Quinn's running mate, Paul Vallas, says Rauner is too rich to be governor because he can't relate to the needs of working families. For example, he says Rauner's plan to tax things like mini-storage and printing services would be a big burden on people who earn modest incomes. Vallas is also slamming Rauner for wanting to lower the minimum wage at one point. Rauner was caught on video making that point last year but he has since switched positions on the issue. Now he says he'll support a minimum wage increase if lawmakers make several pro-business reforms.
