Local McDonald's Restaurants Honoring Service Men and Women

 width=In honor of the 13th anniversary of September 11, central Illinois McDonald's locations will be honoring area service men and women.

September 8 through the 12, area service men and women can take an official government issued identification card to their local McDonald's and receive a free small McCafe Smoothie. According to Mikel Petro, Part Owner and Operator of the Milan/Petro organization, owners of McDonald's restaurants across central Illinois, the service men and women they will be serving includes fire fighters, police officers and EMS workers.

He adds this is just one way they can show their appreciation for those who serve and protect communities across the area.

Any fire fighter, police officer, and EMS worker can bring their valid state-issued identification card to their local McDonald's and receive a free Small McCafe Smoothie now until Friday at locations across central Illinois.
