WEZC To Broadcast Cerro-Gordo Bement Football Games Starting Friday

width=The Cerro-Gordo Bement Broncos are coming off a season where they reached the third round of the IHSA Class 2A playoffs and after a couple early season losses are looking to right the ship.

Clinton native and head coach of the Broncos, Andy Kerley says this is a team that statistically is returning just 300 total yards of offensive production, and have more new faces than returners. And from the same perspective, the fifth-year coach says a good portion of those new faces are sophomores.

Coach Kerley says his group has the talent to be special but he wants to see them become more consistent. He says his group last year would run the same play several times in a row and get four yards minimum, but the group is still figuring things out.

Expansion to the Little Okaw will likely highlight this year's conference season for Cerro-Gordo Bement. The conference expanded from five to twelve teams in the offseason and Coach Kerley says while there's always been a misconception about the Little Okaw, he believes this could be a year those misconceptions get laid to rest.
