NASCAR Driver Promoting Coal Energy

As the NASCAR senior circuit shifts to one of the most watched times of the year, this weekend's race in Chicago is given a driver the opportunity to promote the fight for access to coal-based electricity.

Regan Smith will be at the Chicagoland Speedways this weekend and currently sits in second place in Nationwide Series Standings. He's using his platform to spread the word about the importance of coal as an energy source.

Smith believes Illinois should be concerned with the EPA's attempts to remove coal for America's energy sources because forty-three percent of Illinois' electricity is powered by coal. Many jobs are also affected due to coal as well.
